Stellantis Motorsport part à la conquête de l’Amérique du Nord

in Races
  • Starting in 2026, Stellantis Motorsport will launch the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup North America, exclusively for the Peugeot 208 Rally4
  • The calendar will include six gravel or snow rallies, with a semi-final in the USA and a final in Canada
  • Stellantis Motorsport will rely on the technical and logistical support of Team FJ, a long-standing Stellantis partner well established in North America

Born from the merger of Fiat-Chrysler and PSA, the Stellantis group proudly embraces its American roots and aims to promote its competition vehicles in North America. In 2026, Stellantis Motorsport will launch the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup North America, modeled after the highly successful Rally Cups held across Europe featuring various Rally4 cars offered by Stellantis Motorsport.

In Europe, the Peugeot 208 Rally4, Opel Corsa Rally4, and the all-new Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 – accessible, reliable, safe, and high-performance (212 hp) race cars – allow young talents and amateur drivers to showcase their full potential and enjoy unique experiences in the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cups in France, Spain, BeLux, the UK, Portugal, Italy…

Stellantis Motorsport supports all its crews and rewards its winners with prize money and awards. Former champions like Yohan and Léo Rossel, or Diego Ruiloba, are now competing in the FIA World Rally Championship at the wheel of the Citroën C3 Rally2.

This is the same rally excellence pathway that Stellantis Motorsport intends to export and promote in the Americas through the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup North America – the very first single-make cup organized in North America, dedicated to the Peugeot 208 Rally4. Peugeot indeed has a long and rich motorsport history in the U.S.: winner of the Indianapolis 500, the 12 Hours of Sebring, Petit Le Mans, and the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with the Peugeot 405 T16 and 208 T16.

To conquer North America, Stellantis Motorsport will rely on the expertise of Team FJ, a locally well-established organization in terms of infrastructure and logistics, also known for organizing the official NASCAR Europe championship. Team FJ has in-depth knowledge of the CRC (Canada) and ARA (USA) championships and will provide an unmatched level of service across these vast territories.

The Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup North America calendar will be based on the four best results from gravel or snow rallies among fourteen North American rounds: seven in the U.S. and seven in Canada – followed by a semi-final in the U.S. and a final in Canada, where points will be doubled. Each competitor, split into Junior and Expert categories, may score points in up to six rallies. As in Europe, Stellantis Motorsport will offer winners a rally program behind the wheel of a Stellantis group vehicle.

Didier Clément, Head of Customer Racing, Stellantis Motorsport, stated:

“Launching a single-make Rally Cup in North America is a completely new and very exciting challenge. Our Peugeot 208 Rally4, with more than 10,000 starts since its launch, has already proven itself in rallies worldwide, and its first appearances in American and Canadian events have all resulted in victories in the two-wheel drive category. We are convinced that the crews who participate in this Cup will enjoy it immensely and have the opportunity to showcase their speed.”

The technical and sporting regulations for the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup North America will be published in summer 2025, along with the opening of registration for a test session with the Peugeot 208 Rally4 for interested drivers and teams.
